What is Hei Gung Therapy?
Hei Gung Therapy is a method rooted in traditional Chinese philosophy and bodywork. It’s a holistic approach to self that supports a wide spectrum of needs—from pain and injury to emotional well-being, life transitions, and simply wanting to feel better in your day-to-day life.
Many people come in with something they want to change or resolve. What they often notice first, though, is something simpler—they just feel better. Less stressed. More present. More at peace. More at ease in their own body. From there, they begin to have more good days. The harder days don’t land the same way. And over time, they find themselves able to do more of what they want—not just returning to where they were, but opening up to what’s possible beyond it.
Part of what makes this work different is the quality of attention it brings. Sessions create space—not just for the body to shift, but for you to notice, reflect, and reconnect with what matters to you. In that space, people often find clarity, a sense of direction, or simply a deeper feeling of being supported in their lives.
This work isn’t one-size-fits-all. It meets you where you are. Some people come in for a period of time and return when they need support again. Others come seasonally or more consistently. The focus isn’t on a rigid plan, but on supporting what feels meaningful and useful to you—so you can feel better, live more fully, and move in the direction that matters most.
During a session, you’ll remain fully clothed and rest comfortably on a massage table or in a zero-gravity chair. Treatment is hands-on and holistic—we go beyond symptoms, working with the body as a whole and addressing patterns that may be contributing, even if they aren’t immediately obvious.
The name Hei Gung Therapy means “life work as therapy”—a reflection of the belief that healing is part of living. If this resonates with you, the best way to understand it is to experience it.
